A goal for educators facilitating childbirth education classes is to offer both active and passive learning activities that both increase confidence and are fun to participate in. Brilliant activities for your birth classes do not have to be hard to create or require a lot of expensive materials. Canva, a free-to-use online graphic design tool, makes it easy and simple to create attractive handouts and teaching tools for use in perinatal classes. Additionally, the easily modifiable ready-made templates provided to all Canva users really simplifies the process, saving educators valuable time and energy. This event provides an opportunity to hear from experts in childbirth education on how you can enhance your childbirth education program activities to increase learner retention, improve perinatal outcomes and reduce inequities facing birthing people of the Global Majority. Over the next weeks leading up to the event, Connecting the Dots will present short interviews with the speakers, so that you can learn more about them, their upcoming presentation and some of their favorite resources. Today we meet Marjaana Siivola, LCCE, AdvBD(DONA), BDT(DONA), MS, Lis, PhD Candidate, who will be presenting "Flipped Learning and Online Flipped Learning in Childbirth Education."
