The Journal of Perinatal Education

The Journal of Perinatal Education is the leading peer-reviewed journal specifically for childbirth educators. Through evidence-based articles, the journal keeps educators informed about research and its implications for practice. Journal features provide practical resources and advice educators can use to enhance the quality and effectiveness of their teaching to prepare expectant parents for birth.

By subscribing to the JPE, aspiring or seasoned childbirth educators in any setting – independent, private practice, community hospital, nursing or midwifery school – acquire the knowledge necessary to enhance their practice and advance normal birth in their communities.  The JPE is published quarterly by Lamaze International for readers who provide parent education in the areas of childbirth, pregnancy, breastfeeding, neonatal care, postpartum, early parenting and young family development.

Issues of the JPE are offered as a Lamaze membership benefit and to individuals or institutional journal subscribers. Online access is availble to all current Lamaze members; however, only regular members receive print post mail copies. Note: Student and Parent/Consumer Advocate members do not receive post mail issue copies of the JPE

The Journal of Perinatal Education is indexed by Ingenta, CINAHL and Pub Med Central.
