Does having twins equal automatic c-section for a mom with previous healthy/no complications at term births? |

It shouldn't, but increasingly in the U.S. at least, it does. If this is a practical question, not a theoretical one, you will have to seek out a care provider willing to attend vaginal twin births. I haven't researched this, but it was my recollection that when both twins are head down, planned vaginal birth is preferred, when the lower twin, twin A, is head down, vaginal birth is possible, but when both twins are bottom down, then planned cesarean is preferred. As it turns out, my recollection is correct. The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the U.S. obstetricians professional organization, agrees. ~ Henci |

For now it's theoretical. I'm pregnant (8 weeks) but not positive if it's a singleton or twins. Just wondering. Thank you though! |
