My goal is to become a direct-entry midwife. Has anyone here heard anything about--or has anyone here attended or visited--the International School of Midwifery in Miami, FL? (It's the school featured on the Discovery Health Channel show "House of Babies.") I've been to its website and am interested in applying, but an online search revealed that it was denied MEAC accreditation. Does anyone know why? I wrote to MEAC, but they didn't give me specifics.
