I am haunted by my daughter's delivery 3 weeks ago.. she had what I think was an unnecesasary Csection in 2003.. "breech , low fluid , cord' @ 35weeks..baby was on a vent with all the expected stuff.. Lanie( daughter) was left with a spinal  h'ache. gets preganat again after two miscarriages and is 38 weeks ( 3 weeks ago)when she finds out that her MW, Marcia Mc Culley is charged by the Simi valley docs rendering her unable to practice. At term Lanie could  not find a MW to deliver her VBAC at a BC so she was forced to go to the hospital. Baby was LOA and ROM @ 39 weekd with clear fluid. Contrx started soon after and she went to the hospital within about 5 hours. Thought she was in active labor. Her exams showed no change from the exam the day before 1CM 70% with a posterior OS.  She contracted all day without any change. Was told that her "contrax" were strong enough and they "never saw anything like this before." what she experienced was a long latent / prodromal phase I am sure.. she was never offered any rest , or any options so convinced that nothing wouild ever change and something was "wrong" , off to the OR.. I am disgusted by the outcome which never should have happened.. small baby 6#14 without a hint of molding. I am sure that this would not have happened if she had the mW of her choosing.. fromn the description, can you tell me what you think? thanx ellen
