Hi, everyone. My name is Jenni. I'm 30 years old and I live in Baltimore, MD. I don't have kids (yet), but I became interested in birth several years ago while reading Our Bodies, Ourselves.

I have a BA in Psychology and I'm currently in the process of earning ICEA certification as a childbirth educator and DONA certification as a birth doula. My eventual goal is to become a direct-entry midwife.

Jenni, I can not tell you how happy I am for you that you are doing all of this before you have your first child.  I learned a lot while I was pregnant, and probably knew a lot more than the average woman having her first baby.  BUT, it wasn't until long after my son was born that I discovered just how much I didn't know the first time around!
