Hello to everyone. I am new to this forum, and I thought I'd provide a little background:
I'm 27 years old, a stay-at-home mother to my two-year-old. I became involved in birth activism/advocacy after my traumatic birth experience with my daughter and the subsequent PTSD. Before her birth I was a full-on mainstream Mom but over these past two years I am grateful that I have not only learned so much about normal birth but also that I'm able to provide this valuable information to women who may not have had the opportunity to hear it otherwise. I am a member of the Chicago Homebirth Meetup (the largest Homebirth Meetup in the nation!) as well as the Chicago chapter of ICAN. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
