Natural birth, home birth, and midwifery pose a <EM>huge</EM> threat to the status quo. There are so many OB/GYNs in this country. What would they all do with themselves if midwives took their rightful place as the primary caregivers for the majority of pregnant and birthing women?</FONT></P></DIV> <P> </P> <P>Good question. What, indeed? The ob anesthesiologists would have a hard time of it too.
