Even though not many women in hospitals manage to have births without medical intervention and few women choose birth at home, physiologic birth in general and home birth in particular challenge the medical model of birth, which is the basis on which obstetricians derive their power and authority. This makes home birth and physiologic birth potent threats to the regime and therefore something that must be vigorously suppressed by any means no matter how few people it affects. </P> <P>-- Henci</P></div><br><br>
