There are lots of good places to gather information that can help you make informed choices about your birth. I would start by surfing this website to learn about normal birth. A place to go to learn more about choosing where you want to give birth is How do I choose my birth setting?. The Official Lamaze Guide: Giving Birth with Confidence has material about issues to consider when thinking about home birth as does my book, The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth. I also recommend Ina May's Guide to Childbirth for birth stories and for solid, practical advice on how to facilitate normal birth. Finally, on my own personal website I have a general resources list of books, organizations, and websites that I recommend.
I hope that you find these helpful, and I hope you get your personal situation worked out.
