Hi there,  I would like to introduce myself.  I have been reading for a while courtesy of Dr Amy who  has devotes whole posts to me ( but not as many as you Henci).  Especially my recently written look at the stats!!.  I am an Independent midwife.  I' m from Wales in the UK where I trained and worked for many years.  I Now live and work in South Australia.

Happy to have you with us! Feel free to chime in wherever and whenever you like. As it happens, I'm coming to Australia for a speaking tour. I'll be in Perth Sep 6, Melbourne Sep 14, Brisbane Sep 17, and the Gold Coast on Sep 19. I know I'm doing something there, but details haven't been decided, so it isn't posted yet. Any chance of your attending in any of those cities?

Unfortunately I'm unlikely to attend anywhere the distances are so great here and I have lots of birthing women.  Feel free to come and stay with me if you need a rest.  South Australia is beautiful and I live in the Hills.  Definitely the Loveliest place in Australia
