WASHINGTON (March 17, 2008)—Lamaze International awarded three International Development Mini-Grants, ranging from $1,000 to $1,500, to support the development or expansion of international affiliate programs, international program development and related costs. Recipients were chosen from the Czech Republic, India and Romania.
This year’s chosen recipients will use the money in various ways:
- Aperio Healthy Parenting Association in the Czech Republic will use their grant to translate the Lamaze Six Care Practices that Support Normal Birth
- Bangalore Birth Network will use their grant to translate and expand print and Web media and to host a Normal Birth Film Festival in India
- Oana Melinte-Moraru of Romania will use her grant to translate "Prepared Childbirth – The Family Way" and "Prepared Childbirth – The Educator’s Way" into Romanian
