Lamaze is committed to positively impacting the health and well-being of women as they prepare for childbirth. Lamaze provides access to pregnancy, birth and parenting support and resources for families, and enables Lamaze members and other birth advocates to support women in their local communities.

  • Join Lamaze: Be a part of the movement to serve as a contemporary, credible source of education and information for birthing mothers around the world. Join Lamaze and gain even more resources to help you promote safe and healthy birth.
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Find opportunities to engage with the international organization and make an impact on mothers and babies around the world.
  • Birth Networks: These are independent, grassroots advocacy organizations promoting evidence-based maternity care to improve birth outcomes. Join or start a Birth Network in your community.
  • Advocacy Center: Find pregnancy, birth and parenting resources for families, download a fundraising toolkit and explore other online resources for advocacy.
  • Host a Specialty Workshop: Bring a Lamaze Specialty Workshop to your area by serving as a workshop host. This is a cost-effective way to ensure training in your community in key practice areas, such as breastfeeding, working with teens and labor support.
  • Annual Awards: Lamaze International recognizes educators, birth advocates and health care professionals who are dedicated to improving birth outcomes. Learn more about how to nominate, see past award recipients and find out more about the FACCE program.
