To be eligible to apply for a Lamaze International Childbirth Educator Program Scholarship, you must be:

• Currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a Lamaze Childbirth Educator Program
• A current Lamaze International member in good standing
• In need of financial assistance and submit a one-page statement demonstrating financial need

All applicants must submit a completed Childbirth Educator Program Scholarship application and include the following information in the statement:

• Circumstances of need, e.g., employment or self-employment status and anticipated gross yearly income (spouse information needed if you file a joint tax return or the equivalent).
• Special medical, educational or unemployment related circumstances (including disabilities and worker's compensation claims). Include number of dependents, students you support in college, and special needs family members.
• Other sources of income (savings, bonds stocks, scholarships, etc).
• How you will finance the remaining fees, lodging, travel, meals and away-from-home expenses, if you receive a scholarship.
• Letter describing how you plan to promote the Lamaze International Philosophy of Birth.
