The Lamaze Study Guide
The Lamaze Study Guide is the core curriculum used in the Lamaze Childbirth Educator Program. It also can be used as a self-study, self-assessment tool by experienced educators who are preparing to sit for the Lamaze Certification Exam, or as a valuable resource and learning system for LCCE educators who want to assess and update their knowledge base.

Purchasing the Study Guide
If you are a candidate attending or who plans to attend Lamaze Accredited Childbirth Educator Seminar or an experienced educator utilizing the Study Guide as a self-study, you may purchase the Study Guide in the Online Education Store. Students who attend a Lamaze Accredited Childbirth Educator Seminar are also eligible to receive a complimentary online student membership*.
After purchasing, candidates are issued an email with online access instructions to download the Study Guide. Please note that all Study Guide content is available to download in either the full-version or individual sections in PDF format. There are suggested resources for further reading or learning noted in the Study Guide; however, access to these additional resources is not included in the product.
Printing the Study Guide
If you wish to print the Study Guide, as a Lamaze Member, you are entitled to a special discount offer on printing at a local FedEx Kinkos store. After becoming a member, you will find details about this special discount code by going to the online Member Center, and clicking on "Discounts & Programs."
The study guide is currently available in both English (2011) and Spanish (2006) editions. If candidates would like to receive the CD version for an additional $10, they may call the Administrative Office at 202-367-1128.

*Student membership will only be offered to attendees of a Lamaze Accredited Childbirth Education Seminar. The membership will be complimentary and will need to be activated within 30 days of receiving your activation code. The code will expire in 30 days and the opportunity for the complimentary membership is lost. The membership will be for the calendar year in which you take the seminar.
