The Lamaze Study Guide
The Study Guide is the core curriculum used in the Lamaze Childbirth Educator Program. It also can be used as a self-study, self-assessment tool by experienced educators who are preparing to sit for the Lamaze Certification Exam or as a valuable resource and learning system for LCCE educators who want to assess and update their knowledge base.

Candidates enrolling or planning to enroll in a Lamaze Accredited Childbirth Educator Program, or who plan to attend a program seminar should contact their Program Director about obtaining their study guide. Upon enrollment in a Lamaze Accredited Childbirth Educator Program, candidates are issued the study guide in online format.  Enrolled students also receive a two-year online student membership. The first year is free of charge, while the second year is at a discounted rate of $75.  The CD version of the study guide comes with a special discount offer on printing at a local Kinko’s establishment. The study guide is currently available in both English and Spanish editions.

Exam candidates planning to pursue the second option of the first pathway, the second pathway, or the third pathway for miwives and midwifery students, may order the study guide directly from the Lamaze Administrative Office by calling 202-367-4404.  Experienced educator candidates will receive the study guide in online format.
