About Disney World

Walt Disney World will serve as our host for the Lamaze International 2009 Annual Conference. It’s the perfect place to mix work and play under the Florida sun. Bring your clan and enjoy all the world’s most famous family destination has to offer.

It doesn’t matter if it’s your first or 100th visit to Walt Disney World—the magic and excitement awaits you!

Did you know:

  • Walt Disney World has four theme parks, two water parks, four championship golf courses and multiple spas to ensure you’ll never have a dull moment.
  • In 2007, 17 million people visited the Magic Kingdom, making it the most visited theme park in the world. Come see what all the buzz is about!
  • When the Magic Kingdom opened in 1971, the site employed about 5,500 "cast members." Today it employs more than 65,000. You’re sure to find yourself face-to-face with Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Pluto and the rest of the gang.
  • Our conference will be held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. The hotel boasts a unique resort experience featuring recreation activities such as a .9-mile walking/jogging trail, 4 pools, a 22-person hot tub, 2 arcades, fitness center, playgrounds and seasonal watercraft rentals.
  • Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is located between Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park.
  • In conjunction with the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men’s Chest, the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disney’s Magic Kingdom was renovated to add several characters from the movie such as Jack Sparrow and Hector Barbossa.
  • Sit down, relax and enjoy world-class entertainment at Finding Nemo, Cirque de Soleil-La Nouba or the legendary House of Blues.
