Lamaze International is committed to supporting each certification candidate with current, evidence-based information leading to the highest quality childbirth preparation for women and their families. We will be with you each step of the way!
Lamaze Accredited Childbirth Educator Programs are primarily self-study and most of the program components, including observation of births and Lamaze classes, student teaching, and completing a class curriculum can be done in your own home and community. A three-day interactive seminar is held in various locations.
Many of the existing Lamaze Childbirth Educator Programs will travel to locations around the world offering their three-day seminar through the Lamaze Satellite Program. The Satellite Program offers a comprehensive course of study designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed by childbirth educators to help women give birth with confidence and joy. Every component of the Satellite Program is designed to assist the student in achieving the competencies of a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE). Completion of the Satellite Program qualifies the student to sit for the Lamaze Childbirth Educator Certification Exam.
