Hosting a Lamaze childbirth education workshop is an opportunity to provide quality continuing education to childbirth educators. Host a workshop and share Lamaze Healthy Birth Practices with health professionals pursuing childbirth educator certification for the Lamaze Certified Childbirth Education (LCCE). Lamaze childbirth education workshops are offered globally and can be brought to a local community through Lamaze-sponsored or private workshops. Hosting a workshop is an easy way to provide high quality continuing education and offer knowledge and skills essential to the success of today's maternal-child health professionals. These educational programs are offered throughout the world and can be brought to a local community through our convenient hosting options.
Choose the hosting option that works best for you:

Contract with an approved Lamaze instructor. Design the workshop plan and fee structure with a selected instructor according to your facility needs. Manage the marketing and registration for your target audience. Locate an instructor by clicking on the "Instructor" tab.

Train in-house experienced nurses and educators to teach the workshop. Your hospital will have Lamaze approved instructors on staff and can provide continuing education to your staff and other medical communities. Stretch your hospitals training dollars and educate veteran and new employees throughout the year.
- Host a Lamaze-sponsored workshop. It is a convenient and low maintenance way to host a workshop. The host facility provides a local coordinator and incurs no program hosting fees. Lamaze works directly with the local coordinator to promote the event and handles all aspects of event registration and program delivery.

Become a Lamaze Workshop Instructor !
Lamaze International is seeking passionate childbirth educators, nurses, and maternal health professionals to join our team of qualified and dedicated instructors for the Evidence-Based Nursing Care: Labor Support Skills and the Reality Birth: Educate, Advocate and Motivate! workshops. Being a Lamaze Workshop Instructor means that you are able to teach the workshop at your facility, in your local community, or nationally. Check out the requirements below and download the appropriate forms.

Instructor Minimum Requirements:
1. Support the mission, vision, and approach to birth and parenting of Lamaze International;
2. Strongly encouraged to become a member of Lamaze International;
3. Must have experience teaching using adult learning principles;
4. Must be willing to teach according to the outline provided and only use approved handouts as provided;
5. Must have strong organizational skills;
6. Must attend as a participant, the workshop which you desire to teach;
7. Must meet additional qualifications as required by the specified workshop of interest:
Evidence-Based Nursing Care: Labor Support Skills
• Has experience in labor and delivery (such as a Doula) and/or is a Registered Nurse or Nurse Midwife.
• Strong interest in and understanding of current research and research process
Reality Birth: Motivate, Advocate, Educate!
• Have a current professional or provider membership with Lamaze International
• Current as a nationally certified childbirth educator
8. Must complete the required documents and provide fee upon completion of the workshop of interest
