Douglas College is based in Vancouver, British Columbia but our Childbirth Educator Program reaches around the globe offering workshops regularly in such places as Ontario, Israel, India, Taiwan. Our team of trainers focus on modeling and teaching you how to teach with directly transferable activities. Duke University Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Program
The Duke AHEC Lamaze Program, located on the campus of Duke University Medical Center, uses online learning modules to help you jump start your childbirth education training! After completing the online modules with the accompanying workbook, you will attend our 2-day high-energy, hands-on seminar to learn how to teach an interactive and engaging childbirth education class. Seminars are offered 4-5 times a year in various cities across North Carolina and neighboring states.

We offer two seminars a year in Massachusetts and we have program faculty in Wisconsin and Minnisota offering english/spanish seminars as needed.
Universidad Anahuac
University of Pittsburgh Medical Center
The Pittsburgh program focuses on "Teaching You to Teach". Seminars are limited to 12 participants for more interaction and are offerred 1-2 times a year in Pittsburgh. Opportunities are available to observe births at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC and to have a student teaching experience there. The program travels within a 6 hour drive for a minimum of 6 participants.
