Dr. Kendall-Tackett is a health psychologist, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and La Leche League Leader. She specializes in synthesizing current research on breastfeeding and related fields, facilitating the provision of evidence-based care. Dr. Kendall-Tackett has authored more than 180 articles or chapters and is the author or editor of 17 books on maternal depression, family violence and breastfeeding.

Sharon Dalrymple is Lamaze International’s President-Elect. She has served as the Western Canada representative for Lamaze since 1991. Currently, she serves as a staff development nurse at High River Hospital, Calgary Health Region; a prenatal educator at Calgary Health Region-Rural South; and a consultant, educator and doula at Willow Creek Maternity Services.

Dr. Tiffany M. Field is director of the Touch Research Institutes at the University of Miami School of Medicine. She is a recipient of the American Psychological Association Boyd McAndless Distinguished Young Scientist Award and a Research Scientist Award from the National Institute of Mental Health for her research career. She is the author of Infancy, The Amazing Infant, Touch, Advances in Touch, Touch Therapy, Massage Therapy Research, and Complementary and Alternative Therapies

Teri Shilling is the CEO (Creative Energy Organizer) for Passion for Birth™ (PfB), a childbirth educator training program that is on a mission to stomp out boring childbirth classes around the world! A past president of Lamaze International, she serves on the Skagit County Breastfeeding Coalition and the REACHE board.

Birth is Normal…But What IS Normal Birth?

Penny Simkin is a physical therapist who has specialized in childbirth education since 1968. She estimates she has prepared more than 9,500 women, couples and siblings for childbirth. Penny has assisted hundreds of women or couples through childbirth as a doula. Her latest products for birth educators and doulas are The Road Map of Labor, a birth video entitled The 3Rs: Relaxation, Rhythm, and Ritual and her new DVD, Comfort Measures for Childbirth.
