We’ve assembled some tips to make your visit to the Lamaze International 2009 Annual Conference more enjoyable and fun.
- Earn recertification credits. You can earn continuing education credits required for LCCE educator recertification at the 2009 Annual Conference.
- Is this your first Lamaze conference? If yes, please join us at the First Time Attendees’ Gathering! You will meet veteran attendees and Lamaze International leaders who will share tips and tricks for getting the most out of our uplifting and exhilarating time together.
- Looking to carpool? Visit the Lamaze International 2009 Annual Conference Forum to connect with others and carpool to save on parking fees!
- Bring a sweater. Conference rooms can be cold, so be sure to bring layered clothing. Also, remember to pack comfortable “moving” clothes to join the early morning stretch and exercise sessions.
- Show your spirit. Remember to pack a T-shirt, hat or a pin reflecting your favorite team from your home state or region because during the awards luncheon, you will sit at tables according to your home state or region.
- Don’t forget your business cards. Lamaze conferences are a great opportunity to network, so please bring your contact information to exchange with colleagues and friends. Also, remember your address labels for those lists you will want to sign up for in the exhibit hall.
- Make room for goodies! What you take away from Lamaze conferences is more than a rejuvenated commitment for healthy birth practices. Leave some space in your suitcase for the bags, books, teaching aids, materials and giveaways that you are bound to collect!
- Be weather wise. In October, daytime temperatures can reach 85°F while nighttime temperatures can cool off to 65°F.
