Although all programs are accredited by Lamaze, they are each unique. Click here to view the current list of Lamaze Childbirth Educator Programs. Programs may use different teaching strategies and systems, and may offer college credit or Web-based support. Program fees and admission requirements are set independently by each program. Candidates are encouraged to contact several programs to find the program that best suits their needs. Many of the Lamaze Childbirth Educator Programs will travel to locations around the world offering their three-day seminar. If the program that appears to be in “your backyard” is not offering a seminar that is convenient for you, another program may be offering one close by. The education program is primarily a self-study program. Most of the program components, including observation of births and Lamaze classes, student teaching, and completing a class curriculum can be done in your own home and community.
