Consumer Education Committee Chair
Application Deadline: November 1st, 2009
The Board of Directors is forming a new Consumer Education Committee to guide development of information/education materials and learning resources for expectant parents online and for use by Lamaze educators in their practices. The appointment is for a three year term with the possibility of reappointment for an additional term. Committee work will primarily be done via conference calls and online communications; however there may be an occasional need to attend an in person meeting.
A completed application and questionnaire, CV, leadership qualities, Lamaze council or committee experience and knowledge of education are required for candidates who apply for appointment as Consumer Education Chair. An applicant must be an LCCE educator and member of Lamaze.
Contribute to Genesis or eNews
Lamaze is currently accepting content for upcoming issues of Genesis, our quarterly e-newsletter for members, and for eNews, our free bi-monthly e-newsletter for parents, childbirth educators, health professionals and birth advocates. Writing for Genesis and eNews is your chance to reach thousands of colleagues in the birth community with your tips and success stories!

Educators who submit 10 questions can earn up to 10 alternate credit hours toward their recertification upon approval of submissions. Contact Hour Review and Approval Sub-Committee: Reviews contact hour applications submitted by outside organizations requesting Lamaze contact hours
Independent Study Development Sub-Committee: Writes homestudies based on articles from the Journal of Perinatal Education and sessions at the Lamaze International Annual Conference
