Membership Types, Terms and Prices
Membership types and terms are based on your eligibility. The term for each membership year is January through December. Read more about Lamaze membership benefits here.
Regular Members
If you do not meet the criteria for a student, retired LCCE Educator or parent membership, then you are only eligible for a regular membership. Regular members receive all membership benefits. For a complete list of rates by country, visit the 2008 Membership Pricing Structure.

Please note: Regular membership dues cannot be refunded after a 30-day period if the primary reason for the refund request is due to enrollment in a Lamaze Childbirth Educator Program.

Student Members
Student membership includes all membership benefits, except a post mail copy of The Journal of Perinatal Education. The dues for a student member is $50 per year, regardless of location. There is no three-year student membership pricing available.
In order to qualify for student membership, individuals must meet ALL of the following requirements:
- Current enrollment in a Lamaze Childbirth Educator Program
- Never certified as a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE)
- Never paid Lamaze dues at the student rate for more than two years (consecutive or non-consecutive)

Retired LCCE Educator Members
Retired LCCE Educator membership includes all membership benefits, except a post mail copy of The Journal of Perinatal Education. The dues for a retired LCCE Educator member is $50 per year, regardless of location. There is no three-year Retired LCCE Educator membership pricing available.
In order to qualify for Retired LCCE Educator membership, individuals must meet ALL of the following requirements:
- Current LCCE Educator Certification status in good standing
- Not teaching a class
- Not listed in the online Lamaze Educator Locator Directory
Parent Members
Parent membership is offered to individuals supportive of the Lamaze International philosophy of pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and parenting and do not qualify for other membership categories. Parent membership includes all benefits, except a post mail copy of The Journal of Perinatal Education. The dues for a parent member is $50 per year, regardless of location. There is no three-year parent membership pricing available.
